Ill. company to expand NC plant, add 79 jobs

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. - An Illinois-based company plans to expand operations at its manufacturing plant in southeastern North Carolina and add 79 jobs over three years.
North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley said Monday that Dynapar Corp. will invest $1.5 million at its Elizabethtown plant. The company makes automated equipment control devices for commercial and industrial equipment and motors.
The Gurnee, Ill.-based company also has manufacturing operations in South Carolina and plans to consolidate those in the North Carolina plant.
Company vice president Ken Verhulst says the Elizabethtown plant has been in operation for more than 40 years.
